Our story

Why MotorTrack exists, and for whom.

MotorTrack wasn't born in a steering committee. It started as a simple personal need: tracking the work done on the household's vehicles — oil changes, brake pads, belts — and above all finding the exact reference of the wear part replaced last time, instead of asking the garage again or guessing from a misplaced invoice.

The tool proved itself at that scale before being opened up to other uses: tracking maintenance, defects, and events per vehicle, with automatic alerts that warn before the deadline rather than noticing it afterwards. A foundation designed to stay simple, whether you manage 2 vehicles at home or 40 in a professional fleet.

A word from the founder

Teddy Jean-Baptiste, founder of MotorTrack

For more than twenty years, I built information systems for environments where lost data, a missed alert, or a forgotten deadline carry a very real cost. That standard has stayed with me throughout my career, notably on projects for major accounts such as BNP Paribas CIB, La Banque Postale, and FNAIM.

One day, I realized I wasn't applying that same rigor to managing my own vehicles.

The apps I tried were often too complex, too cluttered, or conversely too limited. I didn't want a dashboard full of indicators. I simply wanted to know what deserved my attention, at the right time, before something forgotten became a problem.

That's how MotorTrack was born.

At first, it was a tool built only for me. Then, over time, I realized it addressed exactly what many people needed: managing a few vehicles without complexity, keeping a reliable history, and getting the right alerts at the right time.

Today, I keep evolving it with the same philosophy: remove complexity, not features.

I'm also convinced that, tomorrow, we'll talk to our tools more than we'll navigate their menus. That's why MotorTrack is designed to integrate naturally with AI assistants like ChatGPT or Claude. Asking for a vehicle's history, logging a maintenance, or reporting a defect should be as simple as a conversation.

MotorTrack evolves thanks to feedback from its users. Every suggestion shapes the product.
