That's the direction MotorTrack is evolving in: turning the data recorded on a vehicle into information that's easier to understand and act on.
MotorTrack in brief — MotorTrack is a vehicle tracking and management application. It centralizes the history of events, interventions, and defects, lets you schedule maintenance deadlines based on time or mileage, and lets you log fuel expenses. MotorTrack can also be queried from certain assistants compatible with the MCP protocol.

A more structured history
A vehicle's history is now richer:
- Vehicle events
- Interventions carried out
- Detected defects
- Distinction between active and resolved defects
- Structured descriptions
The goal is no longer just to know what happened, but to more easily reconstruct the vehicle's condition and journey.
Linking defects to interventions
MotorTrack now creates continuity between defect, intervention, and resolution.
A braking defect is logged. An intervention is then carried out to replace the parts concerned. The defect can be linked to that intervention and then marked as resolved.
This context makes the history more useful for a later diagnosis, a service visit, or simply to understand the costs incurred.
Anticipating maintenance rather than reacting to problems
Reminders based on time and mileage
Two dimensions are taken into account for each deadline: time and the vehicle's mileage. An oil change, periodic inspection, or wear-part replacement can thus factor in mileage covered alongside the calendar deadline, not just a date on the calendar.
Identifying what becomes a priority
Urgency levels help distinguish:
- What's coming up
- What's approaching its deadline
- What requires more urgent attention
MotorTrack thus shifts from a logic of record-keeping to a logic of anticipation.
Better tracking of cost of use
Logging fuel fill-ups
It's now possible to log, for each fill-up: the amount of fuel, its cost, and the associated mileage — enough to get a first estimate of fuel consumption.
Progressively building a view of cost of use
Maintenance, repairs, and fuel combine to build a more complete view of a vehicle's cost — particularly useful for comparing several vehicles or managing a small fleet.
A fuel consumption estimate still evolving
MotorTrack provides a first estimate based on logged data. A more advanced calculation, based in particular on fuel top-ups and gauge level, is among the planned improvements and isn't a finalized feature yet.
Managing your vehicles from a conversational assistant
MotorTrack becomes accessible via MCP
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard that lets a conversational assistant like Claude access, with the user's authorization, the data of an external application. MotorTrack exposes MCP capabilities that let a compatible assistant interact with certain account data. Users can thus consult or update MotorTrack from a conversational interface, without opening the application.
New ways to interact with your vehicle data
A few examples of what becomes possible to ask:
- "Which defects are currently active on my vehicles?"
- "What maintenance should I plan for soon?"
- "Show me this vehicle's history."
The graphical interface is no longer necessarily the only entry point to MotorTrack's data.
Strengthening data protection
The growing amount of information logged also calls for stronger protection:
- Passkey authentication
- TOTP two-factor authentication
- Vehicle URLs designed to not be easily enumerable
These mechanisms reduce certain risks of unauthorized access and strengthen the protection of accounts and the data associated with vehicles.
An interface redesigned around these new uses
The dashboard, fleet management, vehicle profile, and settings have been reworked to serve the new uses described above.
